Chief Minister of Maharashtra:
The current CM of Maharashtra is Sri Uddhav Thakrey. He is the 29th chief minister of the state of Maharashtra and is also designated as the current chief of Shiv Sena. His father, late Shri Balasaheb Thackeray was the founder of Shiv Sena.
Uddhav Thackeray was born on 27 July 1960 in Mumbai. He completed his graduation from JJ school of arts and is a published author. He is also a professional photographer whose work has appeared in various magazines and has been showcased at numerous exhibitions.
He has worked relentlessly for the welfare of farmers and common people of Maharashtra for many decades. He is also the editor in chief of the prominent Marathi newspaper Saamana, which was founded by Shri. Balasaheb Thackeray.
Uddhav Thakrey has been serving as the chief minister of the state for a very long tenure and holds a very prestigious position amongst the masses, even till date.
Political career:
During the 2002 BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation elections, Shiv Sena did well, and he was given the job of running the party. At this moment, everyone saw for the first time Shri Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership talents and flair for politics at their best. In 2003, he was named the party’s working president when he began working more closely with the party. Announcing him as the party’s new leader in 2004, Shri Thackeray said he would succeed him.
