AGRICULTURE AND ITS TYPES ON THE BASIS OF SUPPLY OF LAND Intensive Agriculture - Practiced where supply of land is limitesd -Density of population is high Extensive Agriculture High inputs of labour or capital China, Japan, India, UK, Holland, Germany, Belgium, etc Practiced where there is scope of bringing more land under cultivation Low inputs of labour or capitcl Sparsely populated area USA, Russia, Australia, Argentina, Br USA, Russia, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, etc

AGRICULTURE AND ITS TYPES ON THE BASIS OF SUPPLY OF WATER Humid Farming No dearth of rainwater Problems encountered are of water logging, drainage and soil erosion Irrigation Farming Rainfall is seasonal Practiced mainly in river valleys around the world Dry Farming where rainfall is less than 50cm Where rainfalli less than 50cm Very little or no irrigation facilities available
