Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, is a type of virus that has caused a horrific life-killing pandemic since 2019. This disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus, shortly denoted as SARS-CoV-2. This disease has caused millions of deaths worldwide. COVID-19 is an infectious disease that spreads from person to person. Coming to its structure, the outer layer of this virus is covered with spike-like proteins which surround it like a crown, thus named COVID.
How did the COVID-19 New Virus Strains Spread Start?
This pandemic started on December 1st, 2019, when the first case of covid 19 virus was reported, later named SARS-CoV-2.0.
- Researchers detected that Covid 19 virus may have originated within an animal and changed and mutated, thus becoming capable of causing illness to humans.
- Its spread is still in its continuation until researchers find proper proof of how it started to spread in the first place.
- Coronavirus did not come out suddenly, and they have a whole family tree that has been here for a long time.
- Viruses enter a person’s body by getting attached to their cells and then getting inside them to duplicate RNA ( RiboNucleic Acid).

The Types of COVID-19 New Virus Strain Test
Two basic coronavirus tests detect covid-19, namely virus and antibody tests.
- Virus test tests if a person is currently affected with COVID-19. In these tests, a swab is put inside the nose or mouth of a person to take samples. Virus tests are mainly laboratory tests done by doctors, which used to take time to give the result but nowadays, it is given on the same day.
- Antibody test: It is a kind of blood test that determines the body’s status before exposure to COVID-19 and the body’s antibody stamina. The body takes 12 days to make enough antibodies to get identified in a test. A person currently suffering from COVID-19 must not be given an antibody test. Antibody tests help the scientists get the data on how the immune system plays an important role in defending the body from COVID-19.
The COVID-19 New Virus Strains Outbreak
Most people infected with COVID-19 had experienced mild to moderate to high respiratory infection. Some people did not even need any special care for recovery, while some were serious and extremely needed special medical attention. These were generally older people with cardiovascular heart disease, blood pressure, cancer, and diabetes or people with a weak immune system. The virus spreads from the mouth, nose, touch or when people cough, sneeze, speak, breath, etc.

COVID-19 New Virus Strains, Lockdown and Economy Crash
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Indian economy underwent a big loss in 2020 and 2021.
- GDP crashed 29% in response to the centre and shrunk 7.3% in response to the centre in 2021, an all-time low since Indian independence.
- Agriculture production went super low, despite free movement of fruits, vegetables, and milk, thus creating a big shortage.
- The travel industry includes airlines, hotels and restaurants. Airlines worldwide had a fall of 84 billion dollars in 2020, three times the global financial crisis (source: The world economic Forum). The tourism industry and employees experienced a loss of 14 million jobs alone in 2020.
Treatment, Prevention, and COVID-19 Vaccines
Currently, there is no such fully effective treatment. However, there are COVID-19 vaccines that work on the body’s immunity, which is why infected people are not given vaccines until 15 days after testing negative. COVID-19 vaccines have played a vital role in reducing the horrifying effect of the virus on the world.
COVID-19 vaccines boost the body’s immunity by teaching the body how to fight a disease based on fighting the weakened form of the virus. Thus many people refer to vaccinations as immune boosters.
COVID-19 vaccines have been tested by multiple drug administration organisations globally, which proved to be effective. A huge downfall in the death rate has also been recorded since people started getting vaccinated.
