  • 103 years of Jallianwala Bagh incident- it’s been 103 years since the horrific incident of Jallianwala Bagh massacre that took place in 1919. It was one of the darkest days faced by our country. General Reginald Dyer of the British army killed around 379 people who were protesting peacefully at Jallianwala Bagh, which left the entire nation in shock
  • Launch of ‘SVANidhi se Samriddhi’ Program-the ministry of housing and urban affairs launched the ‘SVANidhi se Samriddhi’ program in 126 cities. The program provides security benefits to street vendors and their families against the risk of loss of livelihood in case of emergencies
  • Collaboration of India and US to expand knowledge-India and US are planning to collaborate to increase the skills and knowledge of both the countries. Plants are being mobilised to aid the linkages of students and scholars to promote growth
  • Inflation in retail-there was a rise in annual inflation in retail of India in March to a 17 month high
  • Asset monetization- asset monetization of Rs 96000 has been recorded by the central government in financial year 2022. It passed the Rs 88000 crore target. The government has set a target of 1.62 trillion for the financial year 2023
