The government at all levels, announces various schemes, missions, laws and policies from time to time, with an objective of the upliftment of the society, promoting welfare among various strata of the individuals etc. These policies, schemes and laws that are generated by the government revolve around the subjects of financial aid, health and awareness, educational affairs, the farmers and agriculture, loans and lands, infrastructure-related matters, women empowerment and upliftment, environmental and nature concerned issues. These policies are introduced as per the requirement of the current scenario, modifications and development needed in various sectors of political, economic and social fields.

PRADHAN MANTRI JAN DHAN YOJANA (PMJDY)Â
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana/ Prime Minister’s People’s Wealth Scheme is proposed by the Government of India. PMJDY is a financial inclusion scheme with a target to provide the reach of financial services like insurance, pensions, loans, bank accounts and remittances to Indian citizens. The Prime Minister of India- Shri Narendra Modi on 28 August 2014 proposed the PMJDY scheme.
ATAL PENSION YOJANA (APY)
The Atal Pension Yojana or the Swavalamban Yojana (Self-Support Scheme). It is a pension scheme backed by the government in India with its primary objective to target the unorganised sector. The APY scheme was launched by the Prime Minister of India- Shri Narendra Modi in Kolkata on 9 May 2015. The APY scheme provides its workers falling in the age group below 40 years to be eligible for availing a pension of up to ₹5,000/ per month upon the attainment of 60 years of age.

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN / CLEAN INDIA MISSIONÂ
Swachh Bharat Mission/SBM), colloquially known as Clean India Mission or the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, introduced became a country-wide campaign proposed in 2014 by the Government of India to meet its objective improvising the management of solid waste production and eliminating open defecation issues. The Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan is the former version of the Clean India mission, launched in 2009. It wasn’t successful due to the failure to complete the sought targets.
SMART CITIES MISSION
The National Smart Cities Mission was launched by the Government of India with the purpose to furnish smart cities all over the country, updating the older versions with new technology and features and renewing the urban infrastructure. This would furthermore make them more sustainable for living and citizen-friendly. In associative collaboration with the state government of the respective cities, it is the responsibility of the Union Ministry of Urban Development to check the implementation and follow up of the mission properly.Â

DIGITAL INDIAÂ
Holding the aim to transform the country into a brand new modern India, through digitally empowering the society, Digital India makes a flagship programme launched by the government of India. These e-governance projects ought to fulfill the gap in lost records of important data and thereby bridge the gap by making computerised records of various data concerned with lands, surveys, and population statistics.
KHELO INDIA
Khelo India is colloquially called the National Programme for Development of Sports, ( Play India). This program targets to uplift and improvises the sports culture prevailing in India, at the grass-root level. It is to be achieved by organizing talent identification camps, setting different sports competitions and infrastructure development concerning the sport. Proposed by the Government of India in 2017-18, the Khelo India program was launched by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Vijay Goel (the sports ministers).
CONCLUSIONÂ
The Government of India launches numerous schemes/yojanas, missions, programmes/ karyakram and campaigns/abhiyaan from time to time as per the need for modifications, requirements and to improvise the current scenario of the country. These schemes and policies are funded by the centre and the state. Those funded by the central government come under the category of “central sector schemes” (CS) whereas those significantly funded by the state but implemented via the state fall under the category of “centrally sponsored schemes” (CSS).
