RMO Registration

Regional Math Olympiad or RMO is a regional exam in India that is considered the second stage mathematics talent search examination.

Regional Math Olympiad or RMO is a three-hour written examination with a minimum of six-seven problems with a certain number of selected students from 25 regions of India. Eligibility for RMO only supports the involvement of the students from classes 8 to 12. The use of the RMO exam is considered the second step towards IMO. This is a regional examination that is conducted in regional areas of India. The guidance is also provided by HBCSE, Mumbai initiates the examination process. The charge of the exam conducting evaluation is coordinated by the regional education administrations; they are also responsible for the evaluation of the answer sheets.  

Regional Mathematical Olympiad or RMO

This is an examination that is held on the third Sunday in a month and the competition is encouraged among the Indian regions. After the selection process students go through tests and frequency examination which is considered the basic step of the International Olympiad examination. After the regional examination and selection, students get invitations to training camps in Mumbai at Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education. This examination is a step to support students with their education by maintaining friendly competitive examination rules and regulations.    

Eligibility for RMO

Students who want to apply for the RMO 2022 need to be born after 1st August 2001. The examination is open to students who are in classes 8 to 12 and the examination is hosted every year in regional centers. Students with the target of RMO examination have nos pacific syllabus. Students who attempt from different classes need to know their syllabus as the problems provided in examinations are standard problems. The board of education provides problems that are taught up to class X. The major areas of the syllabus comprise algebra, combinatorics, geometry and number theory but it does not include any Calculus and Statics. 

Preparation and Use of RMO Exam

The RMO training process is not that hazardous but requires consistency. Regular study of 1-2 hours for 4-5 days a week and consistency for half a year can do good for students who just want to pursue knowledge and to give a try to this prestigious examination. The examination comprises around 6-7 types of problems and the given time of the exam is 3 hours. RMO training centers and experienced teachers can guide a student but one must compete and need the patient while learning new concepts.     

The Process of RMO Training

The process of RMO training has different steps and these steps justify the reason behind the RMO exam that is initiated for engaging the students with skills and knowledge. Selected students from different regions needed to go from some specific stages that are considered as the systematic process for both pre-RMO and the original examination that is held on the third Sunday of a month.
