In the 128 agro-climatic zones, to enable better nourishment and fruitful outcomes in India’s crop diversity, The union ministry has launched the Bharatiya Poshan Krishi Kosh, a warehouse of diverse crops where historical crops have been developed. The Kosh, in its fundamental basis, strives to reduce malnutrition amongst women and children across the nation through a multi-sectoral result-based framework, including agriculture. The Union Government has launched Bharatiya Poshan Krishi Kosh to curtail malnutrition in India. The Kosh was inaugurated by Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani along with Bill Gates on November 18, 2019, in New Delhi.
