Nishtha Training Program

The Nishtha training is a programme that builds capacity for improving the quality of school education. This is done through the principle of integrated training of teachers.

Teachers shape the future, not our children, which in turn improves the future of our nation as stated by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. To ensure the best possible future of our children and nation the motivation and Empowerment of teachers is utmost required as well as important. Evert teacher and head teacher is expected to participate in at least 50 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)opportunities as recommended by NEP 2020. This is necessary for their own professionalism and development that is linked with their interests. The latest pedagogies regarding foundational literacy and numeracy,formative and adoptive assessment of outcomes of learning that can be basically integration of arts, sports and storytelling etc the opportunities of CPD will cover systematically.

Ministries Associated With Nistha Training Program 

The initiation of the Nistha integrated training programme 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 in online medium for different levels of the education of school are conducted where different Ministries are associated along with it. Some of the ministries linked with the conduction of the programme are- Ministry of Education,  Department of School Education and Literacy (DSE&L), Government of India in collaboration with States/UTs. In addition, autonomies bodies under MoE, MoD and MoTA (CBSE, KVS, NVS, CTSA, AEES, Sainik School, ICSE, EMRS, NESTS, etc). These are under the vision of NEP 2020.

Aim of the program

The main objective of the program is building capability among all the teachers and principals of different schools at the elementary stage. The world’s largest teacher’s training is none other than the Nishtha training program that is of its own kind. This also motivates and provides teachers to encourage and stimulate expository thinking in students.

Activity based modules of the program

The Nishtha training program offers various modules for training with a better knowledge engulfed with activities. Some of the modules are listed below- 

  • Module 1– This module helps the teachers to describe the policies of education, the framework development of the National Curriculum, among the intended linked functions, transactions and gained curriculum. 
  • Module 2– This module helps to build understanding based on qualities of personal and social for the development of learners.
  • Module 3– This module aims in understanding of arts as a bookish tool and familiarity with his or her creative expressions to explore her creativity.
  • Module 4– This module helps in understanding origin and importance of the assessments based on school.
  • Module 5– This module gives the importance of understanding the theory behind considering one’s health to be utmost important for the children studying in schools.

Several other modules are presented by the program that helps children and teachers learn from each other concepts that are an important element in each of our life.

Comprehensive training program objectives 

In terms of objectives and vision, the Nistha training program is different from the other programs in also carrying out their whole format of execution. Some objectives of the Comprehensive training program could be-

  • All the elementary stage teachers are equipped with learning outcomes that consist of school based assessments, new initiatives in education, etc.
  • Extensive support to the teachers are monitored and provided in multiple modes making it easier for them to execute even in classroom levels.
  • State functionaries and school principals are oriented on the outcomes of learning, new initiatives are taken in schools to improve better learning outcomes. 

Conclusion :

As a whole, the Nishtha training program played an important role in bringing out the best from within the teachers and students with better teaching and learning outcomes, importance of health is being taught in schools, every activity of the students are being monitored and visioned. It is thus advantageous over all the students and teachers of the country.
