Swades scheme or Skilled Workers Arrival Database for Employment Support is a scheme initiated by the Indian government to conduct the visual representation of the skills of all the Indian citizens returning from the foreign countries. This scheme is initiated by the government of India under the Vande Mataram mission or VBM. Vande Bharat Mission is an initiative taken by the government to bring back Indian citizens who have left abroad during the era of coronavirus when regular international flights were suspended.
Swades Scheme Ministry
The Swades scheme is a joint initiative that included the decision of many different ministries in its implementation. The swades scheme was initiated by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship along with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of External Affair.

Swades Job Portal
This initiative is launched with the purpose to benefit the Indian Citizens returning to India from foreign countries. The citizens can grab the benefits by filling up a Skill Card form which includes information such as full name, passport number, contact number, Indian contact number as well as the number which the individual uses in the foreign countries, work experience, and much more information. the companies which will have suitable placement opportunities in the country Will be shared with this collected data of the returning citizens. To clear the queries related to filling the form or for any other relevant information the government has also set up a toll-free call centre facility.
The returning citizens with the help of the swades skill card launched in the year 2021 will be provided with suitable employment opportunities through discussions with State Governments, Industry Associations, and Employers. According to the government, the SWADES job portal will inform citizens registered with the swades skill form which was made available on 30 May 2020 with the area of job opportunities from Indian and overseas companies. The swades skill form has received about 7000 registrations. According to the data collected from the website, the Indian Government says that the major population of Indian citizens returning were from UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. As per the visual examination of the skills of the returning citizens, they were employed in sectors such as oil and gas, construction, tourism and hospitality, automotive, and aviation.
The data gathered also highlights that the Indian highest returning labour belongs mainly from the Indian states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Telangana. When the pandemic hit the globe this scheme helped many Indian citizens who had returned From overseas to India by the Vande Mataram mission launched by the government with getting suitable job opportunities.
Conclusion
Due to the spread of Coronavirus across the globe, thousands of workers have lost their jobs and many companies have been adversely affected. Among those workers, some of the Workers were Indians that were stranded abroad. To help those workers to return to their homeland the Indian government has launched the Vande Mataram mission. But even after returning there was a great problem to get employment here. To solve this problem the government has launched this swades scheme. This scheme was the result of deep discussion and support of many ministries which we jointly call Swades scheme ministries.
