Queen Elizabeth II began to take public duties during the Second World War. Her father, King George VI, took to the throne in 1936. However, Queen Elizabeth was educated privately at her house. Queen Elizabeth II married Philip Mountbatten in November 1947. Philip Mountbatten was the former prince of Greece and Denmark. Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21st April in the year 1926 in London. She became the Head of the Commonwealth at the age of 25. Queen Elizabeth II had no brothers, and she was the second in line of succession only behind her father, King Geoge VI. Amidst the Second World War, Queen Elizabeth II was advised to move to Canada as bombs were being dropped all over the United Kingdom and around.
