To make up for the gap that has been left behind, these schemes cover-up that ground. These schemes provide the mother and the child with the facilities that they lack. For their proper growth their medication, vaccination and living standards are taken into account. And, proper help is provided to them based on the grounds they lack in.

Mother and Child Tracking System (MCTS)

The Mother and Child Tracking System is an information system that always keeps a check on the mother and an intact till the age of 5 years to keep under observation the services that are provided to both. This scheme was launched in the year of 2009 covering all the states of India. This is a health system taking into account the conditions in which a child is being brought up or if the conditions are favourable to both the mother and the child.

This system keeps an account of all the medications and the vaccinations that are needed by a child till the age of 5. And, hence helps in delivering the said services to the mother and the child. As it can be assumed, this system was launched when the infant mortality rate of children was on a rise. This system has played a measured role in keeping this rate to a bare minimum.

The beneficial effects of this scheme can be seen all over the country. It has shown quite some significant effects in the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. This system provides health care services, medication and vaccination, to both the mother and the child.

The central theme of this scheme was to provide benefits to the women who have lost their source of wages due to their maternal period. This scheme provides them with a considerable sum of money to make sure that they can sustain their lives to as good of a standard as before.

This scheme was renamed in the year 2017 and is now under the effect of the National Food Security Act, 2013. This is under the consideration that the main goal of this scheme is providing maternal women with a good living standard and a way to maintain their lifestyle.

The scheme pays a considerable sum transfer to the woman because of the loss in her source of wages during the period of childbirth and child care. Mandatory cash worth ₹6000 is to be transferred to a woman for each mother of the time of child care and medical practices.

This scheme provides maternal women and those who are lactating with a considerable sum of money for the period of childbirth and child care. However, this scheme is reserved only for the birth of the first child, otherwise, this scheme is not said to be valid. This subpart of the scheme was launched only in the 52 specific states of the country to ensure better living conditions for women and children there.

This scheme is launched in various states but is granted by the Government of India, meaning all the funds are provided by the Indian Government. This provides a certain level of stability to this scheme making it more functional and reliable.  Considerable help is provided to women that come under this scheme.
