Government Schemes 2022 for Individuals & Business

The Indian government often announces welfare programs for a wide range of people at all levels. These plans might come from the federal government, a particular state, or both the federal and state governments working together. These initiatives aim to assist the underprivileged, those who are struggling economically, rural dwellers, and other weak segments of society. Every Indian citizen’s social and economic well-being is their first concern.

The Central Government Ministries in India are responsible for the Union Government Schemes. These programmes are essential in tackling the socioeconomic problems facing the nation. By giving the most marginalised segments of society the fundamental comforts they require, they contribute to their uplift.

Understanding Government Schemes

Atal Pension Yojana

A pension programme called the Atal Pension Yojana is primarily designed for unorganised workers including maids, gardeners, and delivery boys. The previous Swavalamban Yojana, which was poorly regarded by the general population, was replaced by the APY plan.

This voluntary pension system, which was initiated in 2015, is governed by the Pension Funds Regulatory Authority of India. (PFRDA). The minimum and maximum ages for membership are 18 and 40 respectively.

Investors must make contributions to this programme for a minimum of 20 years, or until they are 60 years old. They become eligible for a guaranteed monthly pension at age 60. The fixed monthly pension ranges from INR 1,000 to INR 5,000 depending on the contributions made.

Ayushman Bharat Yojana

The flagship programme of the Indian government, Ayushman Bharat, was created in accordance with the National Health Policy 2017’s advice to realise the goal of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the underlying commitment to “leave no one behind” are the objectives of this project.

An effort to switch from a sectoral and fragmented strategy to a comprehensive, need-based healthcare system is called Ayushman Bharat. The purpose of this programme is to put innovative ideas into practise at the primary, secondary, and postsecondary levels.

The goal is to approach the healthcare system from all angles (including prevention, promotion, and ambulatory care). Health and Wellness Centres and Pradhan Mantri are two interconnected parts of the continuum of care approach that underpins Ayushman Bharat.

Antyodaya Anna Yojana

About 5% of all Indians sleep without two square meals per day, according to a National Sample Survey Exercise. The Targeted Public Distribution System (TDPS) is to provide food and grains to the underprivileged.

To improve the TPDS and narrow its attention to the right kind of population, the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) was launched in December 2000. AAY is a government initiative that intends to provide one crore of the poorest families in India with food at a significant discount.

Credit Guarantee Schemes for Startups

To offer collateral-free loans to the micro- and small-business sector, the Government of India (GoI) developed the Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGS). Both new and existing firms are eligible for coverage under the programme.

The Ministry of Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises of the Government of India and the Small Industries Development Bank of India formed the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE). The Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises is intended to be implemented.

Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana

A government programme called the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) is sponsored centrally and uses direct benefit transfers (DBT). It offers pregnant women and lactating mothers a financial incentive of Rs. 5000 /- (paid in three instalments).

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana

Its goal is to make sure that those without other accounts have access to reasonable financial services. A fundamental savings bank account, deposit accounts, remittance, credit, insurance, and pension are among these financial services. You can open a standard savings account through PMJDY at any bank branch or Business Correspondent (Bank Mitra) location.

Skill India Mission

The program’s goal is to empower all people via better abilities, knowledge, and career possibilities. It does this by offering training and skill development to young people throughout our nation, in every village and city.

Startup India Scheme

The Stand Up India project was announced by the Indian government on April 5, 2016. This government programme permits bank loans between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 1 crore for establishing greenfield businesses. The programme is open to at least one borrower from a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe and one borrower who is a woman per bank branch.

This business could operate in the service, manufacturing, or trading sectors. The scheme, which is being implemented by all Scheduled Commercial Banks, will help at least 2.5 lakh borrowers. Loans are being made available through Scheduled Commercial Banks across the nation as the programme is currently operational.
