Latest Government Schemes in India:
Some of the Latest Government Schemes in India are in the following:
- AB-NHPM (Ayushman Bharat National Health Protection Mission): The AB-NHPM was a revolutionary Central Government programme that aided disadvantaged and vulnerable families. The scheme is split into two halves, each of which is explained below. The government’s aim to create at least 1,50,000 wellness centres around the country is the first. Birjapur received the government’s first health and wellness centre as part of the AB-NHPM initiative. In addition, the scheme covers around 10 crore underprivileged families each year for a total of Rs.5 lakh. All of the country’s accredited hospitals and medical centres provide high-quality medical care and cashless treatments to these families (both Government and private).
- National Nutrition Mission (POSHAN Abhiyan): On March 8, 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the National Nutrition Mission to underline the importance of women’s empowerment as part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao agenda. The primary goals of the system are to achieve proper nutritional status in children aged 0-6 years, pregnant women, adolescent females, and breastfeeding women at regular intervals. The approach also aims to reduce stunted growth in children, combat malnutrition, and address anemia in both children and mothers.
- Anti-Narcotics Scheme: In order to curb substance usage and abuse in India, the Government of India extended the Anti-Narcotics Scheme from 2017 to 2020. For a long time, India has been concerned about rising drug consumption and drug trafficking. With the Indian government’s financial aid of Rs.21 crore for the proposal, this obstacle can be considerably alleviated.
- Green Revolution-Krishonnati Yojana (Krishonnati Yojana): The Green Revolution-Krishonnati Yojana, which encompasses 11 different missions and programmes under one banner, is primarily concerned with the overall development of agriculture and associated fields. This scheme is extremely important to Indian farmers; hence the government has extended it to the fiscal year 2019-20.
- GOBAR Dhan Yojana: The Haryana Chief minister announced the Galvanising Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan (GOBAR-DHAN) scheme on April 30, 2018. The scheme’s primary purpose is to enhance living circumstances and living conditions in Indian communities, as well as to eliminate open defecation. This project is part of the Modi government’s well publicised Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign, which encourages the generation of manure and biogas from animal faeces and solid waste.
