7 New Countries You Might See in 2022

In 2022, we may see more countries than ever before. New Caledonia is one such country situated in the South Pacific. Here is the list of 7 new countries you may see in 2022.

Countries across the globe have their own cultures, people, languages, and even flags! But as you may have noticed, some countries are not officially recognised by the United Nations or are only partially recognised. This article will tell you about the seven new countries you may see in 2022. When it comes to the best countries in the world, many factors decide the ranking. We have considered the whole country in our list, including infrastructure and the economy. When talking about independence, we didn’t think of it as an index to rank countries when talking about independence.

The United Nations is considering the addition of 7 new countries in 2022. Here is a list of the nations most likely to be added as member states. The seven new countries are as follows: Rojava, Bermuda, West and East Libya, New Caledonia, Donetsk People’s Republic/new Russia, Chuck, and Bougainville. Read further to know more about these seven new countries in detail.

1. Rojava – Syria

Rojava is one of the most fascinating places in the world. It is a state that is technically part of Syria, but it seceded after a civil war to establish its independence. It is a mostly Kurdish inhabited region, home to many atheists and communists. Rojava is run on anarchist lines, with people owning their land, making decisions by assemblies, and there is no police. It is also the only place in the world that has successfully defeated ISIS militarily.

2. Bermuda – British Empire

Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory and officially a country. Though it is run as an independent nation, Bermuda is still a constituent part of the British Commonwealth. Here’s another country once ruled by Britain but is now an independent country with its own money, passport, and football team (the Bermuda national football team). Bermuda may not be one of the richest countries globally, but its inhabitants are among the wealthiest.

3. West and East Libya – Libya

Libya is the most likely scenario here, whereby an internationally recognised state doesn’t work all that well, and an unrecognised one that does. Libya has been a bit of a mess for the past few years. Here we find two governments claiming to be the people’s legitimate representative, but each with its agendas and resources.

4. New Caledonia – France

New Caledonia is one of the most special collectivities of France in the south Pacific. New Caledonia is an archipelago in Melanesia, and is made up of several different islets. Its name was inspired by the Latin name for Scotland (“Caledonia”), which was once part of the British Kingdom of Strathclyde and probably named after Caledon, an early Celtic king in what is now Northern England.

5. Donetsk People’s Republic/new Russia – Ukraine

The new Donetsk People’s republic is envisioned as a confederation of regions that can either develop into a sovereign state or remain a part of Ukraine in a federalised configuration. The Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republic, or as they may be known together, Novorossiya, ought to emerge as impartial as a confederation, or as sovereign republics, or in the worst-case situation for the west to be part of the Russian Federation, like Crimea. They each exist in rather state-like models already, and the maximum probable situation is that they emerge as completely frozen battle zones, similar to Abkhazia.

6. Chuuk – Federated States of Micronesia

Micronesia is made up of four countries, one of which is Chuuck. This small but prosperous and wealthy country has fought for independence for many years. Because this small island is an American colony, obtaining a referendum is tough. If the US does not intercede, there are plans to organise an independence vote soon.

The question which remains, in this case, is whether the USA will pull its veto trick again and delay Chuuk’s independence bid.

7. Bougainville – Papua New Guinea

Bougainville is a small and mountainous island in Papua New Guinea. It became an autonomous region of PNG in 1990 and has been independent since 2019, following a long civil war. They are self-governing but are still involved in regular skirmishes with forces from PNG.

Conclusion

The Rojava was created after the west left Iraq and Syria to its own devices to undermine the Iranian influence on both these countries. Bermuda is another country much like the Cayman Islands that is a country anyway. The situation in Libya is fraught at the moment. Chuuk is the largest and best-known of the four states that make up the Federated States of Micronesia. It’s also the richest, with a GDP per capita about 15 times larger than the national average. The beautiful nation of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea, is a tropical paradise waiting to be explored. New Caledonia – FRANCE is the ideal destination for your next trip. With the most beautiful beaches and archipelagos, you can enjoy your stay in this paradise!
