Aptitude:
- Aptitude can be mental or physical. It is to check the ability of a person to carry out a certain type of job with certain quality. If a person has exceptional level of aptitude is considered as “talent”.
- Aptitude is the innate ability to perform certain types of work whether they are developed or not.
- Aptitude is not that of skills and achievements, which shows the person’s ability to represent knowledge or skills gained from the learning.
Foundational Values For Civil Services:
The principles that form the foundation of civil service ethics are listed below:
- Integrity: Employees should be guided only by the public when making official decisions and not by any financial or other consideration of them, their families or their friends.
- Neutrality: Employees in the performance of their official duties, including duties such as procurement, employment, service delivery, etc., must make only appropriate decisions.
- Commitment to Public Service: The main aim of the Civil Servants should be delivery of services in impartially, fair transparent, faster, objectively etc.
- Open Accountability: Employees are accountable for their decisions and actions and should be prepared to evaluate themselves appropriately for this purpose.
- Dedication: Public servants maintain a complete and consistent commitment to the performance and carrying out roles, responsibilities, and duties in any situation and in any time.
Exemplary Conduct: The behaviour of the public servants must in accordance with the highest standards of ethics, treating all people with respect, kindness, and dignity. Their conduct should be an example for the people and his/her subordinate officers and staff.
