National Disaster Response Fund

The National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF), constituted under Section 46 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, supplements SDRF of a State, in case of a disaster of severe nature, provided adequate funds are not available in SDRF.

• In the Official Gazette, the Central Government may notify a fund to be called the National Disaster Response Fund, which shall be credited with funds in case of any threat to disaster by

• • Following appropriations made by legislation in this regard by the Parliament, the Central Government may provide an amount in this regard.
  • Any grant to the management of a disaster that is made by a person or institution.

• The National Executive Committee will receive the National Disaster Response Fund in accordance with the guidelines laid out by the Central Government in consultation with the National Authority for meeting expenses for disaster relief, emergency response, and rehabilitation.
