Indonesia hosted the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, 2022 (GP 2022) from May 23–28, 2022. “From Risk to Resilience: Towards Sustainable Development For All in a COVID-19 Transformed World” served as this year’s topic.
- Continually and concertedly reducing disaster risk is its main responsibility.
- All UNDRR stakeholders and countries are invited to participate in assessing progress made in implementing the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA), now known as the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR), a measure that promotes disaster risk reduction awareness, sharing of experiences and learning from best practises, as well as identifying gaps and potential actions for accelerating disaster risk reduction implementation at local and national levels.
