- Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve is located in the Nauradehi landscape of Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh.
- It is one of the largest protected forest landscapes in Central India, with a mix of grasslands, scrub, and dry deciduous forests.
- The reserve is named after Rani Durgavati, a 16th-century Gond queen known for her bravery.
- The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has given in-principle approval to develop it as the third cheetah habitat in the State.
- Its large contiguous area and prey base potential make it suitable for cheetah reintroduction and expansion.
- The reserve complements existing cheetah sites at Kuno National Park and Gandhi Sagar Tiger Reserve.
