Key findings:

  • Services sector enterprises with output below ₹500 crore employ 63.03% of the total workforce in the segment.
  • Larger enterprises (₹500 crore & above) dominate in asset ownership (62.77%), net fixed capital formation (62.73%), gross value added (69.47%), and total compensation (63.17%).
  • 28.5% of enterprises have additional business places within the same state — highest in the trade sector (41.8%).
  • Majority of corporate entities surveyed were Private Limited Companies (82.4%), followed by Public Limited and LLPs (around 8% each).
