About Shakti Bhatt Prize:
- Instituted in 2008 as The Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize, originally meant for debut authors.
- In later years, it evolved to honour a writer’s body of work.
- Recognised South Asian literature from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and other parts of the subcontinent.
- The prize has been discontinued after the 2025 award.
