  • It refers to the fundamental digital platforms and infrastructure to help citizens get digital services. 
  • It includes a variety of tools and platforms intended to raise the effectiveness, usability, and diversity of public services in the digital era.
  • Basic DPI components like: 
    • Payment Infrastructure: Platforms that enable safe and effective digital payments, such as India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
    • Data Exchange Solutions: Frameworks for secure and uniform data exchange between entities.
    • Digital Identification Systems: initiatives such as Aadhaar in India, which gives citizens a distinct digital identity.

About G-20:

  • 1999: Established by the G7 countries and other emerging economies in response to the financial crises of the late 1990s.
  • It is a multinational forum made up of the European Union, 19 other countries, and central bank governors.
  • Aim: To address global economic issues, promote financial stability, and foster sustainable and inclusive growth.
