Daily News Analysis ‘Axiom – 4 Mission ‘: 6 July

Recently, ISRO has selected two of its four trained Gaganyaan astronauts for the Axiom-4 Mission to the International Space Station (ISS) in collaboration with NASA later this year.

About Axiom-4 Mission:

  • It is the fourth private astronaut mission by NASA and Axiom Space, which will carry Indian astronauts to the ISS.
  • This mission plans to dock with the ISS and stay aboard for a period of fourteen days.
  • NASA reports that in order to get ready for their journey, the Ax-4 crew members will train with NASA, foreign partners, and SpaceX.
  • Axiom Space has hired SpaceX to transport astronauts to and from the space station, ensuring they are trained on Dragon spacecraft systems, procedures, and emergency readiness.
