CDS salary

The monthly stipend paid to male or female cadets while their training at the corresponding institutions is ₹ 56,100. The time spent in training is just not considered to be commissioned duty. When one applicant is officially appointed, their CDS income will be paid at level 10 of such salary scale, and they will be entitled to receive any outstanding arrears based on that salary scale, beginning only with the training phase.

CDS perks and other benefits

Some of the perks of CDS are:

  • Bonus for Qualifications: Workers will be subject to the recently-proposed Higher Qualification Incentive (HQI). The MoD has not yet released the decision.
  • Pilots who are employed at salary scale levels 10 and up receive a set fly stipend worth Rupees 25,000 monthly.
  • Dearness Stipend: Same rates that are occasionally in effect for civilian staff.
  • Kit Repair Stipend: Part of the new federal 20,000 INR annual clothing allowance.
  • Fields Region Stipend: Officials get one of the general practice region allowance based on the location and level of their posting:
  1. All personnel working in level 10 or higher, Highly Active Field Area (HAFA) pays INR 16,900 / monthly.
  2. Personnel working in level 10 or higher receive INR 10,500 / monthly as their operational area pay.
  3. Personnel working in level 10 or higher, the altered operating area pay is INR 6,300 / month
  • High Altitude Stipend: For officials, high elevation pay vary as follows:
  1. Personnel working in level 10 or higher are eligible for Rupees 3,400 / month under CAT I.
  2. Officers working in level 10 or higher are eligible for Rupees 5,300 / month under CAT II.
  3. Officers working in level 10 or higher are eligible for Rupees 25,000 / month under CAT III.
  • Siachen Payment: The monthly Siachen Stipend is Rupees 42,000.
  • Uniform Stipend: It is included in the recently proposed 20,000 INR/year clothing allowance.
  • Transport Pay: Based just on official’s city, the transportation allowance may be as follows:
  1. Greater TPTA cities: Officers employed at level 9 or above receive a monthly stipend of Rupees 7,200 + DA.
  2.  Locations Officers working at level 9 or higher receive a monthly stipend of Rupees 3,600 + DA.
  3. The government car may be used by officials with pay levels 14 and up, or they may choose to receive a monthly stipend of Rupees 15,750 plus DA.
  • From kindergarten to grade 12, students are eligible for a monthly stipend of Rupees 2,250 for their children’s education. Just the 2 older children receive allowance.
  • Free Ration: Peacekeepers and field personnel are provided with a free ration.

Benefits are:

  • Officials there in the Navy, Army, and Air Force are eligible for only a 60-day annual vacation in addition to a 20-day informal leave each year. In addition to the Vacation Travelling Discounts up to 60 days inside a professional career, officials of the CDS may cash in a maximum of ten days on annual vacation for incidental travel expenditures.
  • Officers receive additional advantages, including free health care, a collective insurance plan, housing at a reduced rate, access to a cafeteria, a group housing programme, a family support programme, and others.

What is the CDS exam?

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) holds this “Combined Defence Services” (CDS) Test twice annually to select applicants for such Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Indian Air Force Academy. This CDS examination will indeed be given twice in one year, during February and September, by the UPSC.
