Grillstock was created by food writer and director James Beard Award finalist Nicholas Harary in 2012. Harary has since been joined by James Beard Award finalist chef Steven Satterfield to open King of Pops, the nationally acclaimed ice-pop boutiques in Atlanta and Nashville, and the successful Green Truck Pub restaurants: East Hall, South Hall. And West Hall, all in Athens, GA. Since then, they’ve partnered with award-winning chefs around the country and have collaborated on on-site pop-up shops and backyard barbecues at some of America’s most celebrated music festivals, ski chalets, and private residences. The pair also co-founded Gather & Hunt, a socially conscious alternative to grocery delivery where community members share their excess food for delivery to those in need.

Grillstock Festival is a two-day event curated by the Grillstock Smokehouse. Each event features mouth-watering barbecue, cocktails and craft beer, live music (usually rock, blues, and folk), and outdoor activities for the entire family – including a giant Beer Pong tournament, Chef demos, open grilling, competitions, and other activities for all to enjoy, bringing together some of the best names in barbecue, as well as offering Campfire Sessions – a chance to learn from star chefs and pitmasters.

It also has a bull ride, kid zone and the most famous food of the festival is king of the grill. This festival has a BBQ contest which offers opportunities for new chefs to enjoy smoked grilled chicken or meat. It is a two-day event having first day entry for vip and second day for the others.
