Simple Future Tense is a form of verbs that are used to discuss the things that are yet to happen.

Simple Future Tense is a form of verbs that are used to discuss the things that are yet to happen. It is basically required to talk about the actions or the conditions that are going to start along with the endings that are going to happen in the future. In the English language verbs are used in different forms of verb-tenses. Therefore, while speaking in general the tense of the verb defines the period of time and the action along with the state in which it is taking place. 

About Simple Future Tense

Simple Future Tense can be defined as the form of verb-tenses that is required to describe any action or situation along with the conditions that are going to happen. In other words it can also be defined through the forms of verbs and tenses that are required to discuss any action, condition along with the situations that have not happened or created yet. Moreover this form of verbs and tenses are also used while talking about the actions or the conditions that are going to start and end in future.

Making of the Simple future

The main formula of making a simple future can be defined as “will + [ root form of verb]”.

Example:

I will study a new subject. Jack will read the story book. My brother will study in the evening. You will understand what I just said.

The formulae of Simple Future Tense remain the same with all the noun forms of the subject. However, the other way of describing something that is going to happen in future is considered as “[am/is/are]+ going to + [root form of the verb]”.

Example:

I am going to play a new game. Jack is going to watch Television. My brother is going to sleep till evening. You are going to understand what I mean.

The method of constructing a sentence which includes “going to” is commonly used in speeches along with writing casual notes. However this is required to remember that despite these being the informal type it is better to carry on with the will +[root form] for the construction of a formal sentence.

Making of Simple Future Negative

The Formula for making Simple Future Negative is will + not + [root form].

Example 

Shane will not quit before he reaches his goal. The bus will not wait for you so please be on time. I will not say anything about my job. I will not allow this in the workplace.

In order to make a sentence that includes “going to”, the formula needs to be “[am/is/are] + not + going to + [root form]”

Example

Shane is not going to stop until the fight ends. The bus is not going to wait for anyone so please be on time. I am not going to say anything about my work. He is not going to finish the work on time. 

Asking a Question

In order to ask a question in Simple Future the formula that needs to be used is will + [subject] + [root form].

Example

Will John finish War and Peace over the summer? Will I have the discipline to study German every day? What will you buy with the money that you found today?

In order to use the “going to” construction the formulae that is required “[am/is/are] + [subject] + going to + [root form]”.

Example:  Is Shane going to finish War and Peace over the summer? Am I going to have the discipline to study German every day? What are you going to buy with money that you found today?
