The General Managers have been given the authority to hire for Group “D” positions by the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) pursuant to Letter No. E(NG)-II/96/RR-1/62 dated 18.07.2005. Western Railway established a Railway Recruitment Cell in response to this. The task of conducting open market hiring for all Group “D” positions has been given to the Railway Recruitment Cell.
Organisation: The Chairman (Recruitment) of RRC-WR is in charge, with help from a single Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment) and other employees.
The Cell is in charge of filling Group “D” positions in the workshops, extra divisional units, and divisions of Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Ratlam, Bhavnagar, and Vadodara that are within the purview of Western Railway.
