UPSC Exam Cycle 2022
The UPSC Exam is conducted in stages. The official notification from UPSC contains information about the exam cycle. Candidates must have a great understanding of the UPSC Exam selection process before preparing for the Exam.
Step 1: The first stage of the examination is the Preliminary Exam 2022. On June 5, 2022, the UPSC Prelims Exam was held. 15 days before the exam day, the Prelims Admit Card 2022 was made accessible.Â
There are two papers in the preliminary exam. Paper 1 is a 200-point general studies paper. A qualifying paper, paper II is a CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test) paper. To qualify the CSAT Exam candidates require a score of 33%.
Step 2: Results for the Preliminary exam are posted on the UPSC website. Candidates are eligible for the following round if they meet the Prelims cutoff. The UPSC Prelims Result is publicly disclosed as a list of the candidates who have been selected, together with their roll numbers.
Step 3: Candidates who clear the Prelims Exam and successfully complete the UPSC DAF(Detailed Application Form) for Mains 2022 are issued their UPSC Mains Admit Cards. The UPSC Mains announcement has been made. There are nine descriptive papers in the main exam.
Step 4: UPSC releases a list of candidates who have cleared the Main Exam. Then, along with details on the interview dates and venue, UPSC issues the Interview Call Letter to the qualified candidates.
Step 5: A final list of the preferred candidates is publicly disclosed along with their All India Rank after the interview comes to an end. The Mains marks and Interview Marks are taken into account for the final result.
