The Joint Entrance Examination or JEE is held every year. The examination is taken by candidates who are keen to pursue undergraduate programs in Architecture, Engineering and Planning programs from reputed and prestigious institutions/colleges.
The JEE Main examination which took place on 9th April, 2017 was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The pattern of question papers was the same as previous question papers. There were 30 questions in each subject. The total marks of the exam were 360 marks. The applicant got 4 marks for every right answer. 1 mark was deducted for a wrong answer.
According to candidates who participated in JEE Mains 2017 April 9 first shift exam, the overall paper was moderate. Chemistry was easy in comparison to Mathematics and Physics. Mathematics paper was lengthy and time consuming and that is why it was a little bit difficult to handle. The Physics paper was overall moderate in terms of difficult level and questions were mainly concept based.
