JEE Main 2023 Preparation Tips

Want to know JEE Main 2023 exam preparation tips? Then read this blog to get some preparation tips & important books for JEE.

JEE Main or JEE Main 2023 is the first phase of JEE exam. This exam is conducted by Naional testing agency (NTA), and is an online computer-based test. Every JEE candidate must create a study strategy before preparing for the computer-based test. Create a revising timetable broken down by topics and chapters. Make brief notes and write any formulas and essential information—Mark challenging questions with their answers.

JEE Main 2023 Study Plan

  • Examine your knowledge of the JEE Main Syllabus

Before you begin, you must review the JEE Main 2023 curriculum to choose the topics you cover. Topics from class 12 will also be covered in the syllabus and can be combined for preparation. Sort the subjects into easy, challenging, and unknown categories. Study simple and obscure subjects at the same time so that you may improve your knowledge of the simple and esoteric subjects. Then take on the challenging ones. The reason is that no one can predict the questions’ sources, and it is crucial to be knowledgeable about most subjects. While comprehensive knowledge of every subject may not be achievable, knowledge of most of them is the best alternative.

  • Establish a schedule for JEE Main 2023

While many people think that schedules are necessary, some people don’t, mainly when they are learners who feel constrained by regulations or who find it challenging to adhere to a program for an extended period. The purpose of the timeline is to provide guidelines and dates for finishing most, if not all, of the subjects. Try and work at your pace, but make sure you finish what you started. Additionally, confirm if the strategy is doable.

  • Recognize the JEE Main test format

It is essential to understand the format of the test. In what way else will you be able to predict the types of questions that will be asked, the number of points that will be granted, the time allotted to finish the test, and other factors? Check your JEE Main test schedule beforehand. Continuous practice with JEE Main exam papers will let you answer questions quickly.

JEE Main Exam Analysis

JEE Main Physics Analysis- Topic wise

Let’s start by discussing the crucial physics subjects for JEE Main that are commonly requested. According to the JEE Main past year examinations, these topics have consistently received a certain amount of weight.

The crucial subjects have been separated into categories with easy and challenging scores.

JEE Main Physics Easy Topics

  • Although it is a complex subject, electrostatics is simple. Typically there are three to four questions every year from this topic.
  • The topic of current electricity is brief yet highly scoring. Questions about the case—such as the colour-coded resistor system and Ohm’s Law—are regularly asked in the JEE Main test.
  • A simple and crucial subject for JEE Main is electromagnetic induction and alternating current. Each year, one or two questions are asked from this topic.
  • Instruments, Numbers & Dimensions, Measure of Error (Relative and Absolute), Semiconductor & Consumer Electronics, and Communication These are relatively brief subjects for scoring. In JEE Main, one question is often asked on each topic. As a result, you shouldn’t ignore these as they may easily earn 16 to 20 points.

JEE Main Chemistry Analysis- Topic wise

Regarding how the questions were distributed, physical chemistry accounted for 12 of them, organic chemistry for 10, and inorganic chemistry for 8. Three questions had a moderate level of difficulty, 16 were of an intermediate level, and 11 were pretty straightforward. Let’s examine several questions asked and the topical weighting of the marks.

  • The representative elements and the periodic table
  • Aspects of Transition and Coordination Chemistry
  • Atomic Composition
  • Environmental Nuclear Chemistry
  • Kinetics of chemicals
  • Chemistry of the Solid State & Surface
  • The Gaseous State And Thermodynamics
  • Ionic and chemical equilibrium
  • Colligative and Solution Properties
  • Aromatic Hydrocarbon Compounds
  • Concept of Redox Reaction in Alkyl Halides
  • Benzyl Alcohol and its Derivatives
  • Electrochemistry
  • Organic Chemistry, in general
  • Stereochemistry
  • Polymers, amino acids, and carbohydrates

JEE Main Maths Analysis- Topic wise

Questions in the JEE Main 2019 maths subject were somewhat challenging. Candidates discovered it took them longer than usual to complete this section’s tasks since they required computations. Algebra had nine questions, coordinate geometry had eight, calculus had nine, and probability, mathematical reasoning, & statistics each had four. These numbers correspond to the number of questions and the subjects they covered. Four questions were challenging, 13 moderate complexity and the remaining 13 were simple.

  • Theorem of Binomials
  • Matrices/ Determinants/ Functions
  • Logarithm
  • Large Numbers
  • Hyperbola/ Ellipse
  • Parabola & Circles
  • Static lines
  • 3D geometry

Important Tips and Tricks for JEE Main Preparation

Here are some tips to get you started if you’re thinking about how to study for the JEE Mains Exam.

  • Create a manageable, realistic schedule

A well-organised plan is essential for success. Creating a realistic schedule can help you decide how and when to study daily. Once you’re done making your timetable, follow it.

  • Self-education Is Vital

Organising their time for efficient self-study is one of the most challenging tasks for engineering students. If you come down to learn with such a clear head and eliminate any unnecessary distractions, you can realise your actual potential. Self-study simultaneously deepens understanding of the subject matter and generates questions and concerns that may be cleared up later.

  • Pick the Reference Books Carefully

Several reference books are available on the market to help you prepare for such challenging exams. But the main pattern that JEE (Main) displays is its focus on comprehension over memorization and on using what you’ve learned to tackle novel and unexpected obstacles. Students cannot waste time reading the wrong books or studying the incorrect topics. So choosing the correct books to learn from becomes crucial for higher grades.
