Sub-inspector

Duties of a Sub-inspector of Police as Officer-in-charge

• Ensure subordinates are functioning and managed effectively
• Maintaining the order and preventing and detecting criminal activity.
• To keep track of the records and files at the station house within his command.
• Collect and disseminate information on all matters concerning the general interest.

Powers of a Sub-inspector

• A SI can disperse any unauthorised assembling of 5 or even more people that could cause a disturbance in the civil safety

Eligibility criteria

Age Criteria
