The job can be evaluated as a piece of the task, work, or project that is going to be done or have been done by a human being. It can be dependent on a certain time. Types of Job
Job is a duty or a responsibility. According to an article by Lou Adler, there are four kinds of jobs such as thinkers, builders, producers, and improvers. In terms of the career of human beings, jobs can be divided into three major parts such as government jobs, private jobs, and self-employed. Here self employed refers to several businesses, blogging, web designing, interior designing, application development, etc. Government jobs refer to the tasks that have been paid by the central government, state government, or local governments. Government jobs can be divided into four parts in terms of position and salary like Group A, group B, group C, and group D.
Group A is the officer grade job in the central government or state government of a country. This group is ranked in the highest position in terms of authority, appointment, and also salary. Employees of this category are appointed for the managerial posts in the country. Group A officers are known as gazetted officers.
Group B comes in the second position in terms of authority, appointment, and salary. Employees in this category have the responsibility for several types of supervisory jobs in different locations in the country. Basically, the employees in this category are known as the non gazetted officers but some of the group B officers are also gazetted officers. Here the basic difference between the gazetted and non gazetted officers is, the gazetted officers have the authority to issue the government stamps but the non gazetted officers do not have this authority.
Group C comes in the second last position in terms of authority, appointment and salary also. Generally, the employees of this category have the responsibility for supportive and non-supervisory jobs. The employees of this category can be promoted to higher positions later. Job seekers can be appointed in this category through the Staff Selection Commission examination.
Group D comes in the last position in terms of appointment, authority, and salary. Normally, in this category, several types of posts can be included such as driver, peon, guard, cleaner, cook, barber, sweeper, etc.
There are several sectors of the job such as agriculture, food, and natural resources, architecture and construction, arts, audio or video technology and communication, business and finance, education and training, government and public administration, health science, information technology, law, public safety, corrections and security, and marketing.
Criteria for Government Job
The basic criteria for the government jobs for the job seekers are qualifying for the 10th, 12th exams or to be graduated. A candidate can achieve a post in the category of group A after qualifying any of several kinds of examinations like UPSC (Union Public Service Commission), PSU (Public Sector Undertaking). Several engineering posts can be achieved after cracking the PSU exams. The candidates who are going to apply for the posts in this category should be graduated with a certain percentage of marks. Candidates should crack the exams like SSC CGL (Combined graduate level) for the posts under group B. The candidates should be graduates for this category also. The candidates who are willing for the posts under Group C should be 12th qualified and the candidates who are willing for the posts under Group D should be 8th or 10th qualified with some terms and conditions in terms of health.
Exams for Government Job
There are several types of exams arranged by the central government and state government to appoint different types of job posts. UPSC is the exam that is arranged for group A posts such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and DSP. SSC CGL is the exam that is arranged for the group B posts such as state police officer, income tax inspector, GST or customs inspector, etc. SSC CHSL (COMBINED HIGHER SECONDARY LEVEL) is the exam that is arranged for the group C posts such as head clerk, clerk, a typist in courts, stenographer, tax assistant, etc. SSC MTS (MULTI TASKING STAFF) is the exam that is arranged for the group D posts such as sweeper, gatekeeper, peon, etc.
