Common-Law Admission Test is the Central level examination that regulates the selection of students in UG and PG law courses every year. CLAT exam is mainly for the top 22 universities. Many law universities and institutions in India consider CLAT scores before hiring the aspirants. Aspirants must complete their secondary and senior secondary education
In senior secondary school, aspirants must obtain 45% if they belong to Category of other backward classes (OBCs) or general. And, they must obtain 40% if they are Specially-abled or belong to the Scheduled Class (SC) category or Scheduled Tribe (ST)
In graduation, aspirants must obtain 50% if they belong to Category of other backward classes (OBCs) or general. And, they must obtain 45% if they are Specially-abled or belong to the Scheduled Class (SC) category or Scheduled Tribe (ST)
Aspirants of any age group can apply for this exam. There is no specific age limit
Aspirants must be Indian. NRIs also can apply for this examination

The time duration of completing this exam is 2 hours. The whole paper of CLAT consists of 150 multiple-based questions, in which aspirants have to choose one correct option. The whole question paper is subdivided into five sections. These are:- English and Comprehension: 30 questions
- Current affairs and General Knowledge: 37 questions
- Legal Reasoning: 38 questions
- Logical Reasoning: 30 questions
- Quantitative Techniques: 15 questions
