Normalization of Marks
Owing to the clerk examination being conducted in multiple shifts, the difficulty level of the question paper varies. To adjust the difficulty level for all the candidates across the country, the percentile method is applied. The final results are announced on the basis of the normalized marks.
SBI Clerk Waiting list
The candidates who qualify for the minimum cut-off in the mains are mentioned in the waiting list. 50% of the vacancies both, state-wise and category-wise are maintained on the waiting list. The waiting list is valid for one year after the final result is declared. To replace the non-joining candidates, the names of candidates from the waiting list are released on a quarterly basis.
Tie-Breaking Policy in SBI Clerk Result
In case two or more candidates secure similar marks, the Bank ranks them on the merit list according to the following:
- Candidates belonging to the reserved category are given preference in such a situation
- If the tie still remains then the candidate with minimum incorrect answers is preferred
- If the matter is still unresolved then the older candidate is considered.
