Ans : Examples of Homopolysaccharides include Glycogen, Cellulose, Chitin and starch. They are present in significant parts of the human body; they create energy to function and form the cell wall of plants, fish, bacteria, fungi and invertebrates. Heteropolysaccharides include hyaluronic acid, gamma globulin, Chondroitin-4-sulfate, and Heparin. They are present in the eyes and other parts of the human body. Heteropolysaccharides have significant functions, including helping nourish the skin, preventing dry eyes, dry skin, and pimples. They also act as anticoagulants to prevent blood from clotting, fibre for a balanced diet, and prevent other medical conditions like osteoarthritis and cataracts.
