GATE or the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a national level exam conducted to test the comprehensive understanding of undergraduate subjects in science and engineering for admission to a Master’s Program. The test administering authority issued the GATE 2023 information bulletin and exam schedule on July 28, 2022. According to the official announcement, the GATE 2023 test will take February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will host the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023. Registration for the GATE 2023 application form online will begin on August 30, 2022. The GATE 2023 examination schedule has been published on the official website – gate.iitk.ac.in.
IIT Kanpur has created the GATE 2023 official website, which includes information on the GATE syllabus 2023 and the exam schedule. IIT Guwahati, Bombay, Kharagpur, Madras, Delhi, Roorkee, Kanpur, and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore will jointly conduct the GATE 2023 test.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level online examination for Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech), and direct PhD admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other institutes/universities throughout India.
The exam is jointly administered on a rotational basis by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore) for the National Coordination Board (NCB – GATE), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource & Development (MHRD), Government of India.

GATE 2023 curriculum and information booklet have been announced by IIT Kanpur. The syllabus has not been altered. The test syllabus changes depending on the paper chosen by the applicants. On the other hand, the curriculum for the General Aptitude (GA) segment will be identical for all 29 exams. The General Aptitude portion will be weighted at 15%, with the core topics receiving 85% of the points.
IIT Kanpur has announced the GATE curriculum 2023 for all papers and an information booklet. The GATE 2023 syllabus is divided into three sections: General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and a subject-specific paper that applicants select when filling out the GATE 2023 application form. GATE Syllabus may be downloaded for all courses, including CSE, ECE, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
The key to exam success is knowledge of the whole GATE course. Candidates seeking admission to MTech and MSc programs through GATE 2023 should thoroughly review the syllabus. In addition to the coursework, candidates must be familiar with the GATE test format. On January 3, 2023, IIT Kanpur will release the GATE admission card. Candidates can only get their admit card from the official page after successfully registering. Students may obtain their GATE 2023 Admit Card by following these simple instructions:
The GATE 2023 answer key will be made available by the administrators a few days just after the exam. Aspirants can calculate their expected scores using the GATE answer sheet and answer key before the GATE result for 2023 is revealed.
On February 21, IIT Kharagpur published the GATE 2022 solution key. On February 15, candidates’ response papers were made public. Students could file complaints to the answer key from February 22 until February 25, 2022. Students can calculate their predicted exam score using the response sheet and answer key before the results are announced. The final solution key will be made available simultaneously with the GATE results.
The GATE question papers will be available on the official website of IIT Kanpur. Students will not be required to check the official website to get the question papers. Various coaching institutes have provided memory-based questions for several courses. Students can verify these questions by clicking on the link provided below. All applicants should know that memory-based questions may differ from those in the official GATE 2023 Question Papers.
The GATE 2023 results will be announced following the GATE 2023 test. The GATE Conducting Authority will publish the results on its official website. The GATE 2023 official scorecard will be made available three or four days after the final result of the GATE 2023 Examination is announced. Candidates who took the exam can see their results on the portal. The GATE 2023 results will be available on March 16, 2023. Candidates who pass the GATE 2023 Exam will only be able to obtain the score card, which will be effective for three years from the date of the GATE 2023 result announcement.

The GATE 2023 cutoff will be notified by the exam administering authorities shortly after the results are released. COAP will provide admissions counselling for MTech courses at IITs, while CCMT will conduct admissions counselling for MTech programs offered by NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and CFTIs. Eligible applicants must attend the GATE 2023 counselling as planned. Registration, choice filling, selection locking, seat assignment, document verification, and so on are all part of the counselling process. Application form for GATE is available on the official website of the institute conducting the exam for the respective year. Here are the steps to register for GATE:
1) Visit the GOAPS portal and complete the registration process. You will get the registration id and password on email or registered mobile number.
2) Once you receive the login credential, log in to the official website and fill the required details.
3) Choose the GATE paper that you are willing to appear for and also fill your preferred examination center city.
4) Once you are done with filling in all the information go and upload the documents.
5) Submit all the uploaded documents and then pay the required fees for the exam.
6) Once you are done with all this you will get a confirmation page that you need to download and get printed.
As mentioned earlier, GATE 2022 will be conducted under the supervision of IIT Kharagpur. All the applicants need to know that the exam is a computer-based exam that is conducted online. Test centers for the GATE exam are all the cities of India along with six cities situated outside India. Also, students need to know that the scores of the GATE exam are valid for the next three years.

Indian citizens can apply for GATE. Also, candidates from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Singapore, Bangladesh, Ethiopia and UAE are eligible for GATE.
Candidates from Nepal, Singapore, Bangladesh, UAE, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia are eligible for GATE. They must have completed or be in their final or pre-final year of bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology or an equivalent program.
GATE 2022 will have Multiple-choice and Numerical Answer Type questions. Multiple choice questions have negative marking but no marks are deducted for wrong numerical answer type questions.
