Flower is the sexual reproductive unit in the angiosperms.A flower is a modified shoot.The stalk of the flower is called pedicel. The upper part of the pedicel is swollen and is known as thalamus or receptacle.The thalamus bears four floral whorls. They are calyx,corolla,androecium,gynoecium.Calyx and corolla are known as accessory organs,androecium and gynoecium is known as reproductive parts.
