Diagnosing any kind of disease by looking at individual cells and a tiny collection of cells has been termed cytology or cytopathology. It has been determined as one of the most important parts of recognizing some particular sorts of cancer. It generally deals with individual types of cells of the body. This includes looking at independent cells for uncommon interchange for both the nucleus as well as the cytosol of the human cell. The process of cytology generally happens under a microscope. The cytology generally looks after the infection, any infectious disease of the urinary tract, and cancer as well as the precancerous condition. The commonly used cytology is a fine-needle aspiration.

The importance of cytology

With a strengthening casualness of various sampling procedures, presently nearly all the institutions and the health care centers are knowledgeable of the automation and the part of the regime of inquisitive and characteristic patient stimulation. Explanation of various types of samples needs to be followed. It has been generally used for the diagnosis of cancer and other infectious diseases. The most important importance of the cytology has been determined as the capacity of its early detection of cancer. It also helps in the survival of long-term patients of cancer. The samples that are generally used in cytology have been regarded as the safest samples. The process of sample collection is easy in this process. It is not so time-consuming. This process has been regarded as one of the most cost-effective methods.

Disadvantages of Cytology

Defective cytology has been determined as the examination that includes some changes and defects to the cells that are lined with the cervix. The process of colposcopy sometimes becomes very much painful as well as uncomfortable to bear. Colposcopy generally reveals the existence of cells that are not normal. Sometimes the slide preparation process using the techniques of paraffin can take much time for the completion of the whole process. In this case, frozen slides can be used; however, they are harmful for the resolution.

The most common test done in cytology

The most common test that has been done in cytology has been termed the Pap smear test. In a Pap smear test, the doctor generally uses genitalia-looking glass to clasp the genitalia walls separately and to watch the collar. Next, a specimen of cells from the collar has been collected utilizing a tiny cone-shaped brush and a small plastic spatula. Sometimes the test becomes painful as the human body is not ready to bear such feelings for the first time. Most women need this test at the age of 21. A pap smear test can recognize cervical cancer and some certain changes in the cervical cells that can increase the future risk of cancer in the human body. It generally helps to decrease the anxiety of the patients and cancer can be treated with the help of this test at a very early stage where it can be curable.

Difference between cytology and biopsy

A cytology test is a test that is totally different from the test of biopsy. During the time of biopsy, tissue of a certain extent of the human body is uprooted and examined for cancer. The cytology test generally uproots and learns a small number of cells. With the help of a cytology examination, the morphology of the cells that are collected is generally examined under the microscope. Biopsy generally detects cancer after a certain stage of development of the disease. On the other hand, the cytology detects cancer at an early stage where it can be curable.

Conclusion

It can be concluded in this context that the cytology test is a very important one for detecting cancer at an early stage. The test generally deals with individual cells of the human body. The most important test under the cytology test has been defined in this context. The advantages, as well as the disadvantages of the cytology test, have been determined in this context. The process of the Pap smear test and the urine cytology test has been determined in this context. Thus it can be said that the cytology test of cells is very much important in some ways.
