SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria
Basic eligibility requirements for the position of general duty constable include a minimum level of education and an age limit. Below are the specific SSC GD eligibility requirements:
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian national.
Age Limit: The applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 23.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have earned a passing grade in Class 10 from a recognised board. Examination candidates for Class 10th are ineligible.
SSC GD Constable Registration Process
- Candidates must register on the SSC website before registering for the GD Constable examination. Only applicants who have registered may apply for the test. The steps that you must follow to register on the official website:
- Visit https://ssc.nic.in/, the SSC website.
- Select the “New User” Register link on the homepage.
- You will be taken to a registration form as a result. Enter the requested information, such as your complete name, birthdate, category, 10th and 12th-grade roll numbers, etc.
- The basic information you enter must be accurate because it will be retained with your profile. Add your contact information, including your email address and phone number.
- Confirm your contact information with the OTP that was texted to your phone.
- Create an account by clicking “Submit.”
Application fees for SSC GD Constable
For general and OBC applicants, the SSC GD Constable 2022 online application cost is Rs 100; applicants from the reserved categories are exempt. The Tier 1 exam is an online, multiple-choice exam in accordance with the SSC GD Constable Exam format.

- The SSC GD Constable Tier I exam lasts for 90 minutes.
- English and Hindi are the only two bilingual languages used for the Computer Based Examination (CBE).
- In the SSC GD online exam, each wrong response has a 0.25 penalty.
