The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds the SSC CGL exam at the national level to choose candidates for Group-B and Group-C positions in various ministries, departments, and organisations under the Indian government. About 15 lakh applicants sit for the SSC CGL exam each year, while about 30 lakh applicants complete the application. The Staff Selection Commission administers the exam in four phases or tiers. The first two levels of a Composite Graduate Level (CGL) exam are delivered online. The next two groups of the exam are given offline.
Apply Online for SSC CGL 2022 Exam
Candidates must have a working email address. SSC will use this ID to send information such as the registration code, password, exam date, and location. There are two stages to the SSC CGL exam application process: Registration for SSC CGL Part 1 and SSC CGL Part 2.
- Aspirants must fill out their basic information and posting choices during Part I registration.
- To register for Part II, applicants must provide their payment information, scanned signatures, and photos.
Part-I Registration for SSC CGL
- Visit www.ssc.nic.in , the SSC’s official website.
- Tap on Examination-Part I Register in the home page.
- A registration form for Part-I Register will open when you click the “Online Form Click Here” link.
- Complete all required fields, such as “Select Centre and Code,” “Name,” “Father’s Name,” “Date of Birth,” “Gender,” “Category,” etc.
- List your preferences in the post (refer to SSC CGL Post Preference 2022)
- Click the “I Agree” button after that.
SSC CGL Registration, Part II

- Click the “Examination-Part II Registration” link on the home page.
- Type in the registration number and password generated after submitting Part I of the online application.
- Candidates will have the choice of paying payments online or offline and providing scanned copies of their identification documents.
- You can pay your application fee offline or online.
- The candidate will be advanced directly to the second phase, “Uploading Scanned Photo and Signature,” online (Credit Cards/Debit Card/Net Banking).
- A Challan form will be created using a manual process. To pay the application fee, applicants must present the printed court summons to any SBI branch. The Bank is required to record the Transaction Number given by the Customer.
CGL 2022 Application Dates
Starting date for SSC CGL online applications: 17th September 2022
SSC CGL 2022 application deadline: 8th October 2022
The “Window for Application Form Correction” will be open from 12th October to 13th October 2022, and will include online payment.

- Female, ST, SC, PwD, & ex-serviceman applicants do not need to pay fees.
- Only the State Bank of India (SBI) challans, SBI Net Banking, and any other bank/credit/debit card shall be used to pay application costs.
- After finishing the SSC CGL 2022 Part-1 registration, candidates should print a copy of the online-generated Challan and bring it with them to pay the application amount in cash.
- Proceed with the CGL Part- 2 registration 2022 after submitting the application fee at any SBI branch.
- After completing the Part-I registration process, applicants who pay the application fee online may proceed directly to Part-II registration.
How to Register for SSC CGL 2022 Exam?
1. Go to SSC’s official website, www.ssc.nic.in .
2. Select the “CGL” tab after clicking the “Apply” button in the top bar.
3. Enter your name, Aadhaar number, parent’s name, date of birth, mobile number, and email address.
4. Enter the OTPs that were sent to your email address and mobile number, then click “Submit.”
5. The candidate’s registration number and password will be sent to them through email and SMS in the fifth step.
