SSC CGL exam overview

The SSC CGL Exam is carried out in 4 different stages and each stage has a variable exam overview has been discussed in the following.

  • Tier I exam: The Tier I exam consists of 4 subjects that are Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Comprehension, General Intelligence, and Reasoning Having 25 questions each and the maximum mark in each subject is 50.
  • Tier II: Tier II consists of four papers. Among these papers – I am Quantitative Abilities with 100 questions and a maximum of 200 marks. Paper II with a maximum of 200 questions and 200 marks. Paper III is statistics with 100 questions and a maximum of 200 marks whereas Paper IV is general studies with 100 questions and 200 marks. 
  • Tier III: Descriptive English Paper with English/ Hindi essay with 100 marks in total.
  • Tier IV: The Tier IV exam evaluates the computer proficiency test or skill test for the candidates.
