Candidates can refer below to get detailed information about how to apply for the SSC CHSL examination.

SSC CHSL Application Process

The procedure for online application for SSC CHSL examination contains the following. Candidates can refer to the below-mentioned data to get the required information. It is as follows: 

  • One time registration 
  • Filling out the online application for the examination 

Part 1: One-time Registration 

Read the instructions carefully before filling out the form. 

You must keep the following information ready

  • Candidates must provide the mobile number [verification through OTP]
  • Applicants should give their Email ID [Verification through OTP]
  • Aadhaar number [in case of unavailability candidates can provide voter ID card, PAN, Passport, school/college ID, employer ID, information about the board, roll number and year of passing the matriculation examination] must be ready
  • A disability certificate number in case the applicant falls in that category must be handy
  • For the one-time registration, click on ‘register now’ provided in the login section

The process requires the following

  • Basic details of the candidate
  • Additional and contact details for the process
  • Declaration by the applicants 

For filing the form, the candidate must follow the steps given below

  • Candidates should mention critical details such as Aadhaar number, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, etc., which are to be mentioned twice in the relevant columns of the Registration Form
  • This is done to avoid any mistakes in filling up the form
  • In case there is a mismatch between the original and verified data columns, the form will not be accepted

Applicants must provide the following details from the matriculation certificate

  • Fill in the name exactly as given in the matriculation certificate
  • Fill in the mother’s name exactly as given in the matriculation certificate
  • Fill in the father’s name as given in the matriculation certificate
  • Fill out the DOB as given in the matriculation certificate

Additionally, candidates matriculation certificate information must include the following information

  • Name of the education board 
  • Roll number 
  • Year of passing 
  • Gender
  • Level of educational qualifications 
  • Candidates must provide the mobile number that is working, and it will be verified through OTP
  • The commission will communicate through the mentioned mobile number only
  • It can also be used for the retrieval of passwords
  • Applicants must provide the Email ID that will be verified through OTP. Commission can also communicate through the email ID and additionally can be used for the retrieval of passwords
  • Candidates must provide the details of their permanent address in the form
  • After basic details, candidates must confirm their email ID and mobile number
  • Then they will get their registration number and password through mobile number and email
  • Candidates must complete the registration process within 14 days
  • Candidates can log in through the registration number and password
  • They can change the password when prompted on the first login
  • After the change of password, candidates need to log in again using the registration number 
  • After successful login, they can edit the details and click on the ‘next’ button at the bottom of the screen
  • Applicants must provide the information about the category
  • Applicants must give information related to their nationality
  • Applicants must give information about visible identification marks
  • They may have to show the marks at procedures
  • In case of disabilities, candidates must provide the appropriate proof
  • Applicants must save the information and take a draft printout and review the information
  • Upon clicking the final submission, OTP will be sent to the verified mobile and email
  • Applicants need to enter the OTP to complete the process 
  • After completing the process, basic details can be changed only twice

Part II Online Application Form

Applicants must keep the below-mentioned data ready:

  • Recently scanned photograph [not more than three months old from the publication of official notification] in JPEG format [20 KB to 50 KB]
  • The dimensions should be 3.5 cm [width] x 4.5 cm [Height]
  • It should be without a cap, or spectacles and both ears should be visible
  • The date of the photo taken should be mentioned in the photograph
  • Blurred photograph applicants and without date photographs will be rejected
  • The scanned signature should be in JPEG format [10 to 20 KB]. The dimensions should be 4.0 cm [width] x 2.0 cm. The applicant with illegibility will be rejected
  • Candidates should log in to the online system through a registration number and password
  • Applicants must click on the ‘apply link’ in the latest notification tab
  • Details mentioned during the one-time registration by candidates will be filled automatically. Applicants can also modify the information through the dashboard
  • Applicants can choose a centre within the region of their choice
  • Applicants can choose three examination centres in order of preference
  • Candidates must select the medium of the typing test
  • Click the ‘yes’ if the candidate has passed 12th with science stream with mathematics as a subject
  • If candidates have served in the armed forces or are ex-servicemen, they can fill in the required information
  • Wards of ex-servicemen will not be treated as one
  • Give information if you are suffering from cerebral palsy or in case of physical limitation to write and if a scribe is required to write
  • In the case of age, relaxation candidates must give proper information
  • Information about permanent and present addresses must be given by the applicant
