About
Mankading
‘Mankading’ is basically the act of a bowler running out a batter on the non-striker’s end if he/she is backing up and too far ahead of the crease before the ball is delivered.
Though this is a legally permissible dismissal, it is considered against the spirit of the game.
This dismissal in cricket is named after legendary Indian bowler Vinoo Mankad.
