Why in the News?

Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with an exhibition on Environment-Social-Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

IICA is a world-class institution for central civil service training in India
It was established in 2008 at Manesar in Haryana
The institute works under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs
It is the only institution in India that has been authorised by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India to operate its flagship Graduate Insolvency Program
IICA is headed by the Director-General
Objective: to function as a think-tank for the Government for holistic advice on all issues relating to corporate affairs and impacting corporate functioning
IICA also houses the training academy of the top cadre of the Indian Corporate Law Service
