Each year, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds the SSC CGL Exam to fill positions in the Grade “B” and “C” categories in various government ministries, departments, and offices. The SSC CGL exam is divided into four phases, or Tiers. The final two exams are offline tests whereas the first two are online. Through the SSC’s official website, the full registration and communication procedure takes place online. Before being ultimately chosen, candidates must pass each stage of the SSC CGL exam in order to move on to the next. The SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam will be place on August 8 and 10, 2022.

SSC CGL 2022 - Selection Process
The SSC CGL 2022 Exam will be divided into four sections as listed below:
- Computer-based Tier-I Examination
- Computer-based Tier-II examination
- Pen and Paper Mode, Tier-III (Descriptive paper)
- Tier-IV: Tests of computer proficiency, data entry proficiency (where appropriate), and document verification
- Roll numbers and admit cards for the computer-based examination will be issued to all candidates who successfully applied for the SSC CGL 2022 exam (Tier-I).
- Candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, for the Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations based on the marks received in Tier-I.
- Separate cut-offs will be established for Paper-III of Tier-II, which is for the position of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), Paper-IV of Tier-II, which is for the position of Assistant Audit Officer, and Paper-I + Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).
- All applicants who passed the Tier I exam will take the Tier II and Tier III exams.
- For Tier-II, both Paper-I and Paper-II will be required of all candidates. To appear in Paper-III and Paper-IV, however, only particular applicants who have been shortlisted for the positions of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer would be needed to do so.
In the SSC CGL 2022 Exam, SSC has set minimum qualifying marks. Minimum passing scores for each paper in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-IIIthe following are being examined:
- UR, 30%
- OBC and EWS: 25%
- Additional: 20%

- Physical Fitness Requirements: In addition to the aforementioned, there are specific physical standards that must be met in order to be an inspector for the Central Excise, an examiner, a preventive officer, a sub-inspector for the CBI, and a sub-inspector for the NIA (National Investigation Agency).
SSC CGL 2022 - Application Fee
- Rs. 100 is the mandatory application fee.
- Exemption: Female, SC, ST, physically handicapped, and ex-serviceman applicants are not obliged to pay a fee.
- The sole way to pay the application cost is through SBI, either by challan, SBI Net Banking, or any other bank’s Credit/Debit Card. Online-generated Challan forms will be used.
- After completing Part-1 registration, the candidate should print off the challan created online in order to make a cash payment. Continue with the Part-2 registration after paying the required amount in any SBI branch.
- After completing part-1 registration, candidates who wish to make payments online can proceed directly to part-2 registration. To proceed with Part-2 registration, the candidate must provide their registration number and date of birth.
