The NEET UG 2021 was conducted by the National Testing Agency on September 12, 2021 in pen and paper mode. Almost 16 lakh candidates appeared for this all India level medical entrance exam.
The NEET UG question paper 2021 was divided into three sections – Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, and was of total 720 marks. According to students, the NEET 2021 exam paper was moderately difficult but lengthy. As far as the subject-wise difficulty level is concerned, Chemistry and Biology were easy-to-moderate, whereas Physics had challenging questions. The NEET UG 2021 question paper had the match and column type of questions along with assertion and reasoning questions. Overall, the question paper was based on NCERT.

- The NEET UG 2021 entrance exam was held on September 12, 2021
- There were two different sections for each subject- Section A consisted of 35 questions and Section B consisted of 15 questions
- There was negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer

There were two sections in the Biology section of the NEET UG 2021 question paper- Botany and Zoology.

For the Botany section-
- The section had easy to moderate level of questions
- Majority of the questions were NCERT based
- There were a few tricky questions that required in-depth knowledge of concepts
- A good amount of questions were factual, whereas others were concept centric
For Zoology section-
- This was a moderately difficult section
- A few questions appeared easy were actually tricky type questions and demanded complete focus on particular keywords of questions
- The particular question on the earthworm took students by a surprise
- Students who were thorough with NCERT concepts were able to answer the question
- A few questions were interconnected
- Approximately 12 questions were asked from Biotechnology section
- 4 questions were from the Locomotion and Movement section of human physiology
