According to the minister, the number of medical colleges has increased by 71%, rising from 387 before 2014 to 660 presently. Government MBBS Seats Through NEET 2023: For AIQ

Government MBBS seats through NEET include the All India Quota (AIQ) seats, which are reserved for candidates from all states and union territories in India (excluding Jammu and Kashmir). These seats are filled through a centralised counselling process conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
