The Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Advanced is a national level competitive exam. Students from India and overseas appear for this examination with an intent to get admission in Planning, Science, Architecture and Engineering Programmes offered by the IITs and other reputable institutes.
The IIT – JEE that took place on 8th April, 2012 was conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi i.e. IIT – Delhi. This examination was a computer based online test. The questions were covered from the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics section. There were in total 120 questions in both the papers, i.e. 60 questions per paper. There were 2 papers in total that were conducted in two different timings. The question paper was a mix of multiple choice questions, single answer type and single integer type questions.
As per the experts, the Physics paper was moderately difficult. There were calculation based questions in this section. The Mathematics section was lengthy and tricky. The Chemistry section was easy to moderate one. The difficulty level of examinations cannot be determined in advance. Hence, it is advised to practice the previous question papers. Students can easily download the previous years papers wherein the solutions are also given. Students can check the solutions and tally their performance as well.
