Four of the Padma Award recipients will receive the Padma Vibhushan, 17 will receive the Padma Bhushan, and 107 will receive the Padma Shri. Congress politician Ghulam Nabi Azad and CDS General Bipin Rawat are among the awardees of the Padma Awards in 2022.

On March 21, 2022, Padma Awards 2022 will be presented at a civil investiture event at Rashtrapati Bhavan by Indian President Ram Nath Kovind. Congressman Ghulam Nabi Azad and CDS General Bipin Rawat are awardees of the Padma Awards for 2022. Four of the Padma Award recipients will receive the Padma Vibhushan, 17 will receive the Padma Bhushan, and 107 will receive the Padma Shri.

The three categories of Padma Awards are Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. Numerous areas and fields, including social work, the arts, science, engineering, public affairs, medicine, trade and industry, civil service, education, sports, and others, are recognised in India with significant prizes.

About Padma Awards

One of the highest civilian honours in the nation, the Padma Awards come in three varieties: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. For unique and remarkable service, Padma Vibhushan is given; for outstanding contribution in any discipline, Padma Shri; and for distinguished service of the highest calibre, Padma Bhushan. Every year on Republic Day, the Indian government announces the recipients of the Padma Awards. Thirty-four of the recipients of the Padma Awards 2022 are female. The list includes 13 posthumous award recipients and ten individuals from the foreigner/NRI/PIO/OCI category.
