List of Indian Satellites (1975-2022)

Answer. A satellite can be explained as a device that is used for sending to space and collecting information or for the purpose of communication such as television and radio. We can classify satellites in mainly two categories, that are, remote sensing satellites and communication satellites. A communication satellite caters to the various needs in communication, meteorology, television, broadcasting and disaster warning. The intention of remote sensing satellite can be understood as monitoring of natural resource along with managing and operating from SSPO, that is, a Sun Synchronous Polar Orbit.

Answer. The full form of ISRO is the Indian Space Research Organization. The organization was formed on 15th August 1969. The primary goal of Indian Space Research Organization is developing space technology and applying it to different needs of the country.  There are mainly six major centres in ISRO along with various other units, agencies, facilities and labs all over the country. 

Answer. ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC), Bangalore is the place where satellites are made. On the other hand, the rockets or the launch vehicles are made at VSSC, that is, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.
