Launch of PM-SURAJ Portal:
- The portal aims to provide credit support to entrepreneurs from disadvantaged sections of society.
Commitment to Underprivileged:
- The launch of the portal demonstrates the government’s commitment to providing dignity and justice to the underprivileged.
Disbursement of Credit:
- Around ₹720 crore worth of credit was disbursed to one lakh beneficiaries from Scheduled Castes, Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Safai Karamcharis.
The functionality of the Portal:
- The portal will serve as a one-stop point for people from disadvantaged sections to apply for and track the progress of various loan and credit schemes available to them.

PM Modi launched Pradhan Mantri Samajik Utthan evam Rozgar Adharit Jankalyan (PM-SURAJ) for Marginalised Sections.
